bamfing: (Just hanging out!)
This post is for threading with Kurt anytime and anywhere. It can be used for Action or the Ring feature on journals to get in contact with him for personal conversations.

Note: When making a new thread, please title it like such:

[Action, January 3rd]
[Voice, March 8th]
[Written, June 11th]

[Yesterday]

[It had happened during the experiment, but nobody had really said anything at the time. Kurt and Rogue had moved out their stuff with no one noticing, so Scott's room being empty didn't raise eyebrows. But now that he had never come back and after Kurt had tried a filter to him, it was obvious he was gone. Depressing, but... he'd known it was coming after the experiment ended.]

Scott Summers is gone. Back home in Bayville now. It kind of figures Luceti wouldn't be able to hold Cyclops, yeah? [A small laugh at the end of that message, even though it's pretty hollow. He hesitates a moment, then shuts his journal. End message.]

[Today]

[The next day, Kurt frowned at the overcooked pizza as he set it on the counter. Sure, he could make a good pizza if he was there and paying attention to it. But trying to do several at a time, managing a store, doing it like a restaurant... Kurt just didn't have it in him. It was made worse by the fact the pizzas tasted like sulfur. Too much teleporting around the kitchen to try and get everything done like it would be if the place was busy led him to an important conclusion.

He had no place in the kitchen. That much was obvious when he looked closer at the pizza and plucked out a blue hair. So much for the Azzip Pizza legacy. Or having somewhere to keep him busy. Still, maybe he could get someone else to work the kitchen. Run the place. And he could keep a job. After trashing the pizza, he slides into one of the seats out front and opens his journal.]

If you guys haven't noticed, Azzip Pizza has been closed for a few weeks now. It looks like pizza making isn't exactly my thing. But ah, if someone wants to take over, I'd stick around and help. I'd be the fastest pizza delivery guy around, trust me. But I don't want to close the place. What kind of place would Luceti be without a pizza parlor, yeah?

So if anyone wants to take a look around, I'll be hanging out here. For today, anyway. Tomorrow I'll be heading out on a mission again, so I won't be able to help set up too much. Sorry about that.

[Which he'll do for the next few hours. About three o'clock, he'll have handed the keys over or just locked up. For the rest of the day, he'll be found running scenarios at the Battle Dome, hanging out on the roof of House 16, or lost in TV land. He's not really going out into town much, though. He doesn't want to risk running into Melanie. As far as he's concerned, it's easier if they don't talk. Not yet.]

((ooc: Yellow Thirteen will be taking over Azzip Pizza, but people are welcome to volunteers as waiters or cooks or cleanup or delivery, whatever.))
bamfing: (Oh really?)
[When Kurt steps out of the tunnel today, he's relieved. It's kind of like being back home, if home was a place where you were at the mercy of scientists and bureaucrats and the subject of weird experiments. But it's got friends and family, so he's still relieved to be here. Not to mention having a sky over him again. It's kind of refreshing to actually be chilly! Although a little sore from two weeks of teleporting, he's content to make his way back home.

... where he'll find out Jubilee is gone. Not to mention that Melanie is still away. It's kind of a bummer on both count. But he keeps his chin high and remembers that he still has friends. Jubilee went back to the X-Men she belongs with, he's with the X-Men he belongs with, and he'll be ready the moment Melanie comes back.

After spending some time getting settled back into the X-House again, he goes out for the evening, looking for some fun to stimulate a Kurt who spent two weeks of fighting and boredom (and people staring at him like a freak). Good Spirits, Cloud Nine, and the Rec Center are all stops this evening for him. A successful mission completed deserves a little celebration, after all.

At some point, he pops open his journal to ask something he's been thinking about. From what he knows of Kotetsu and Pao-Lin's world, it almost seems to have 'mutants' like him. But unlike his world, they seem to have a better lot than mutants in his world do. After two weeks of being stared at like a freak, his own mutation is pretty heavy on his mind. Maybe other worlds are like this too?]

So a lot of us have powers, yeah? How many people were born with them... but only by accident? I don't mean like some kind of magical powers, but something totally random.

And... what do the people of your world think of that?
[Some broken filters appear on the journals briefly. With Melanie off on a mission and Mikage gone, Kurt was really hoping for someone to hang out with. At first he tries a filter for Flynn- but it's broken. So he tries to do the same to Rapunzel, to ask about Flynn, but that has the same result. Thus leaving Kurt without two of his best bros in Luceti. Talk about a downer. He had only been back from a mission for a few days and it was already such a downer. But. He feels obligated to pass the message along:]

It looks like Flynn and Rapunzel have gone off home together. Maybe they'll get lucky and he'll get to show her those lights, yeah?

[Actually, now that Mikage is gone, he's kind of lost his main sparring partner. Maybe it's about time he found someone a little more advanced...]

Also... anyone else into fencing?

Battle Dome Practice )
[It started as any other morning. Or at least, that's how it seemed. No longer going to school, Kurt had the freedom to sleep in as much as he wanted. When he finally dragged himself out of bed, he was surprised to see Anne wasn't there waiting with breakfast. And then when he finally knocked on her door, she didn't answer. Only after pushing it open and looking inside did he realize why. The bedroom was empty. Just like Kitty and Beast Boy. Another empty room. Somehow, though, he can't bring himself to be sad. She may have been a close friend, but she was back where she belonged.

Later on, he'll distribute the manuscripts he found in her room, each one with one of the X-Men as the main character. He'll keep a few for himself. After managing to get a hold of a certain book, he goes to the journal to share a quote from it. His tone is light, a little sad, yet a little relieved at the same time.]

"Oh, Marilla, don't you go pitying me. I don't like to be pitied, and there is no need for it. I'm heart glad over the very thought of staying at dear Green Gables. Nobody could love it as you and I do—so we must keep it."

Anne Shirley is back where she's supposed to be, where she's happy. I know she had a lot of friends here, so I'm sure she'd want to say goodbye if she had a chance.

[And that's that. Once he's talked to people about it, he'll be up on the roof of his house, reading Anne's books. He wants to make sure she had a happy ending.]
[Locked to Housemates]

[Kurt arrived none too gently in the middle of the night, lying in front of the fountain. His head was dizzy, but when he finally came to, he realized people were walking by him without so much as looking at him, despite his current state. He realized it was night time, but he was still stunned that they didn't seem to notice him. It was only when he waved his own hand in front of his face and realized he could barely see it that he became suspicious. After moving into the light, it was almost as if he was not stepping from the shadows, but front a literal blanket of darkness. It was almost as if the darkness made him completely invisible.

After making his way to the roof, he realized that everything around him was so much clearer. It wasn't quite like daylight, but he could see even into the dark alleyways with almost perfect clarity. Whatever the Malnosso did to him, it was weird. He makes his way home that night, not realizing an even bigger surprise is waiting for him.]

[Open To All]

[The next day when Kurt goes out, he does so with a pair of sunglasses on, in order to cover his now glowing eyes. He avoids the Brigade meeting on purpose (and will be doing so for awhile), instead settling for the mundane task of a quick trip to the grocery store. He's trying to avoid being spotted, so most of his travel will be done by roof top. For the sake of his friends though, he does leave a voice post. He's still wearing his sunglasses for that.]

Hey everyone, it's Kurt. Looks like I'm back. I'm just ahhh... a little under the weather, yeah? I'll be back to normal in no time.

[At least, he hopes he will.]
[It's a lazy Sunday afternoon and after lying on the couch with the journal flipped on his face for about ten minutes, Kurt really thinks he could use with some conversation time. It's not that his housemates are bad for that, but he knows how pesky he can be. Especially when he doesn't bother to actually... use doors. Or giving people a proper amount of time to react to him being nearby. Curse of his powers, really. He can't help it! So, he starts out with something simple before decided to handle more... business-y things.]

So... anyone any good at Soccer?

[55% Filtered from Marvel Castmates (sans Rogue and Storm)]

So, weird question, but has anyone ever met people they knew... or kind of knew of from their own world, but that world was totally different. And not even just different possibilities, but stuff that is just way too whack, like people not even being born the right year?

[He feels bad leaving the other X-Men out of that filter, but he doesn't want them to feel unwelcome due to their crazy worlds. Of course, Kurt isn't too great at making filters, so that one isn't all that well made. Neither is the next one, incidentally.]

[50% Filtered to Haruhi and Mikage]

Mikage, Chief... I need a little help with a revenge prank. Think you can help?

[Beyond that, Kurt can be found at the house, hanging out anywhere around the village (including the Battle Dome), and so on. He's a blue demon monkey thing who likes to teleport in and out of places, crouch on top of roofs, or hang out upside down.]
[On the last night of the draft, Kurt took a major beating. For those who had been there, Kurt had become a flurry of teleportations, moving in and out of the enemies and becoming almost impossible to follow. He doesn't know how many he might have wounded or killed, but it had all been halted when he got stabbed with a near fatal wound. He doesn't even recall what happened after that. In fact, between that and the sickness, he only wakes up today in a bed in the medical center. When he tries to get up, he realizes that's not so much a good idea.

At the very least, he finds his journal next to him. So... he pulls that out to ask the inevitable question on his mind.]

I'm back in one piece. Sorry if I worried anyone, but I'm ahh... not even sure what happened.

... so, did we win?
Cut for actiony stuff )

[After that, at the Rec Center, they'll just play some good old fashioned games. Kurt's pretty good at air hockey, but he soon discovers Rogue is waaaay too good at pool. Which leads to him trying to press his natural advantage as he BAMFS and hangs from the ceiling above the table, trying to make a very tricky while upside down. And wouldn't you know it, before he teleported, he stepped back on his school bag and knocked his journal out and open to start recording.]

--what do you think you're doin'?

What does it look like? I'm trying to make a shot!

That is cheatin', Kurt. Get your butt back down here. That is no way ta play pool.

It's not cheating! I'm still hitting the ball with the stick, yeah? It's totally fair!

Part of the game is working the angles from the ground.

Come on, that is so lame!" [He bamfs back to the ground.] "There's no way I can hit it like this.

Sure ya can. Ya just need ta work the angles an' hit the ball right." ... "An' loosen up on that stick. You're holding it too tight.

[Reluctantly Kurt gives in. He still needs to go over the balls, so while he aims with one hand, he steadies the other end of his pool stick... with his tail. Over his head.]

Kurt!

((ooc: Dual post in progress, so get your tags from Kurt and [livejournal.com profile] touchofrogue. Hit 'em up at any of the locations or just do the journal thing if you want. For the Battle Dome, you can run into 'em before or after they play out the scenario (or just sit up in the viewing area and watch it.) Also, housemates and fellow Brigade members would probably already know it's his birthday, but not so much others.))
bamfing: (Oh really?)
[Filtered from Haruhi (cuz he's late!)]

Okay, now that we're not all one big happy family anymore, other people have DVDs here, yeah? The SOS Brigade needs some help coming up with a rental store. Our own very Blockbuster or something. If we all put our collections together, we'll have a pretty good variety and be one step closer to staving off extreme boredom. So if people could just tell me what they've got, we can get a list together. [Feel free to just handwave what that list might be.]

... we also need a place to keep them and someone to run the place. Any ideas?

[That long, long overdue business aside, Kurt is now free to do his own thing. What might that include? Nothing too unusual. Hanging out on top of buildings, spontaneously BAMFing in front of pretty girls, chilling at school during lunch break or coming and going from the SOS Brigade meeting. If he gets bored enough he might just watch people walk around the plaza. Life in Luceti can get a bit dull when your life consists of just socializing and homework. Even if you do have DVDs back home. Too bad he's watched most of the stuff he has already and everything else is just not his kind of stuff.]
bamfing: (BAMF!)
Backdated to mid-day, April 1st

[On the journal, a face suddenly appears!]

Greetings, Luceti! As you're all aware, there's currently an experiment going on! Oh, and what an interesting one it is, isn't it? So many new faces...

...Ahem! Unfortunately, I have an announcement to make. There was a bit of a mix-up with the equipment, and we can't seem to reverse it at all! I'm not sure what happened, but it's all very messy, I really don't know what can be done!

Because of this, I'm afraid that the changes will be permanent! I apologize for any inconvenience!

[Oh wait! Here's another one!]

You forgot to carry the four, didn't you? You've really blown it this time, Cathy. Well I'm not going to fix it for you.

...Oh dear, oh dear me. I've upset you, haven't I? My apologies, Great One! You need not worry yourself with a problem like this- I'll take full responsibility! So please, just carry on with... whatever it is you do down there!

I will carry on. Besides, there's a special about me coming on Malnosso TV tonight...

[And here is where anyone can interject. They'll carry on like this for awhile. Bil/Catherine will be played by [livejournal.com profile] notakor and John by [livejournal.com profile] nomorebamfs who is still in human form. Both are in costume and face paint for the post (although icons will not reflect this). Responses will come from either "Bil", "John", or both. If you want a specific one, just say so!]
[It's been nothing but rain and gloom since Kurt was tossed back into Luceti on the seventeenth with a few injuries and an unusual interest in his adopted 'sister' Rogue. Some bed rest and food had brought him back to health, but seeing the sun out bright and shining helped has raised his spirits. Sure, it's still a very soggy looking Luceti out there, but some more sunshine should help fix that.

This means Kurt is back into his usual routine of things, teleporting or hopping from roof to roof, hanging out in trees, or catching the beautiful views from on top of community buildings. There's school and the Brigade... but he'll skip those today. He hasn't spent a few days sleeping just to go sit inside and listen to people talk about stuff. Ultimately, he can be found just about anywhere in the village or the outskirts of it, stretching his limbs and enjoying the almost-but-not-quite-Spring weather.

Later her makes a voice post... while upside down in a tree. It's not even that hard to see in the picture box, what with his hair hanging towards the ground and the upside houses behind him. It turns out skipping school and Brigade meetings makes for a pretty dull day and by the time he's missed both of them, he's looking for something to do. Good thing there's social networking tools for bothering all people in Luceti simultaneously.]

So I know being in Luceti is totally whack and mostly lame, but it's not always bad, yeah? I mean, even with messed up experiments and that crazy old guy who makes cool, fuzzy and blue people like me look bad, there's those pretty cool days. Like today's a pretty good one. So, anyone remember any other good times they've had here?
[Kurt should probably be weirded out that Rogue, of all people, is in such a good mood. But he's not gonna get him down, because it's Valentine's! And what's a blue fuzzy elf to do but go around and spread some of his holiday affection? This is why he's prepared a box of chocolates, a single blue rose, and a card signed Kurt Wagner for all of his special ladies. Incidentally, he has quite a lot of these. Aside from the ladies in the SOS Brigade, he also has them for Katara, Tear, Alexis, Winry, Mitsuru, Noel, and Tsubaki. He even did it for Elicia, because Kurt is a bro like that. Sorry Buffy, you're CRAZY and get nothing.

Since Kurt is kind of a creeper and likes hanging out on the roofs and watching people walk around and go home, he was able to drop this stuff off at their homes, give a knock, and BAMF away before being caught. (Unless you really do want to catch them). Later he'll be hanging out at Good Spirits for some hot chocolate and so he can address the community at large.]

Man, this holiday must have some real magic around here, huh? Everyone seems way happier lately! Maybe everyone is just finding their true loves today. I bet it's going to be packed here tonight.

((ooc: first voice reply chronologically belongs to Mitsuru, even if you sneak in and beat her to it!))
[Kurt has some messages he needs to leave. None of them have to do with that Brigade business, because he's not really apologetic about people not liking his and Mikage's prank. Nor is he eager to fess up being in a girl's body anyway. However he does need to pass on some news about one of his team mates...]

I guess it's pretty obvious by now, but if anyone didn't know, Kitty's back home now. Which isn't fair, because I was totally here before she was! Pretty lame, yeah?

[It's obvious this happened long enough ago that it doesn't bother Kurt now. It doesn't hurt that going home is a GOOD thing and he's just disappointed she got to go home before him. After all, he changes the subject almost immediately. He's doing this mostly because of Anne and partly because Rogue endorsed it in her own way.]

So... does anyone here like acting? Back in Bayville, I was in a drama club, which was pretty cool. Anyone else into that kind of thing?

[Outside of that, Kurt is in his usual haunts. At home playing video games, hanging around on whatever roof he feels like being on, or DEFENDING THE ALAMO in the Battle Dome. Disturb as you will. If you're just doing something interesting out in the open, he may disturb you against your will.]
bamfing: (BAMF!)

[Having already determined the village is full of people in the wrong shapes, Kurt wasn't all that surprised to find himself in a new body. Sure, the five fully functional fingers was new. And walking without his tail as a counterbalance was just surreal. And how on earth did people walk on their heels. No, really, the fact that really shocked him was that his entire body was monochrome. Sure, maybe his favorite actor had always been in black and white movies, but this was just... a little odd.

Nevertheless, he decides to set out and make good use of his new form. Particularly, of course, by going out and charming women with his oh-so-obviously attractive new (old) features. So if you're a pretty girl (and hopefully not too young), you'll have his attention. Or if you're just someone he knows, he'll want to show off. Later on, while having a drink (non-alcoholic!) at Good Spirit, he'll make a voice message.]

So did anyone else actually turn into something cool during this experiment?

((Replies from [livejournal.com profile] monochromehero. Yes, he's now Errol Flynn. 4th wall that as you will.))
[Well, Kurt is at home with nothing to do. He's finished his homework, goofed off in the Battle Dome, and isn't quite up to crashing in on his friends and seeing what they're up to. Apparently that's annoying. So he has only one alternative - watch movies he's already seen several times or be entertained by Luceti's populace. Which means getting a discussion going. Something simple and mindless to talk about.]

Okay, so everyone. You're on a boat and it shipwrecks on a deserted island. You can only take one thing with you from home. What is it?

... ohh, right, and if you have any kind of superpowers that would get you off the island, those don't count. Or for making new stuff and- actually, yeah, no superpowers at all. Just stuff you bring!
[One minute, Kurt was in the middle of hanging out in his room in the evening, literally upside down, reading through a book. The next, he suddenly found himself wondering why he was wasting time with books. Landing on the ground, he tosses the book aside and regards himself in a nearby mirror. He's in the same ragged clothing he's used to. He pulls the hood over his face, obscuring his features, and teleports out of the room.

After the sun goes down, a hooded figure will be prowling through the streets. His walk is a little odd, as he walks only on his toes. His tail lashes about freely behind him, often latching around objects to forcefully pull them down. He doesn't care much for regular humans, so any he comes across are likely to get a scowl. Although his face cannot be seen under the hood, his eyes will light up whenever he spots someone. He's also out to do some thievery, particularly whatever can be looted from outside a window without needing to go in. Or maybe he'll just drop by the bar and see if he can't get himself something to drink. It's not like the bartenders will withhold alcohol from something that doesn't even look human, right?

After getting bored, he decides to leave a message on the journals. Notably, his voice lacks the usual soft spoken German accent, but is now a harder, northern American accent.]

I'm getting sick of this hole. What's there to do around here for some real fun?

((ooc: AU information here. Yes, he'll be answering to a different name. He remembers Luceti and the people he's met here, although naturally these memories are a bit twisted. Also, if you want to let him steal anything, let me know. He'll be sure to give it back once he's his old self. Also, no special alt journal! Use your ~imagination~ to see him as looking a lot grungier than usual. He isn't in uniform.))
[Kurt is hanging out at the Battle Dome today. One nice thing about not having Wolverine around is that the programs he gets to pick aren't too hard and he gets to pick his own pace. But practice is still important, right? Besides, he gets to practice using the handy saber he picked up at the weapon shop. Sure, maybe it isn't practical to his typical training in subduing enemies with guns or mutant powers, but it's way more fun. But then, he'll probably never legitimately be fighting pirates on the high seas in epic sword duels. It's his guilty pleasure, okay? He likes to see imagine himself as a handsome, swashbuckling hero.

In between sessions, he decides to take a break, eat something from the vending machine and chat with people.]

People use the battle dome here a lot, right? Anyone have any favorite scenarios they like to fight in?
[It's been two weeks since Kurt had been at school. Or much of anywhere, really. He'd only checked in on a few of the friends who already knew about his 'fuzzy condition' and otherwise avoided being spotted, mostly lurking in the dark. Which meant turning in the homework Terra picked up for him, explaining away the fact he was 'sick', and avoiding too many questions being asked. After that, he even attends the Brigade meeting like a good little minion, despite also being absent from it for the entire month so far. Afterward, he'll be hanging around town, including testing out the Battle Dome. It's a lot like the Danger Room he's familiar with.

Once that's all said and done, he'll go ahead and make himself known on the journals.]

So, I kind of disappeared there for awhile. Sorry about that. I was uh, not quite feeling like myself. How's everyone doing?

[10% Filtered to Wonder Woman]

Hey Diana. Or uh, Wonder Woman. I have a question.
[Kurt has survived his first experiment! With stories to tell. Or rather, stories he won't tell. That would be rude, after all, given who is involved. With school out today, Kurt will just be enjoying his time off, especially since Haruki isn't around this week. He's kind of off the hook, right? So he doesn't even need to show up to meetings. It's not like that girl who was left in charge would do anything about it. He'll be checking out some of the stores today, to see if maybe anything from home showed up. Of course, he'll be just teleporting his way into each store with a BAMF. Later, he'll be hanging out in the woods.

At some point, while sitting on top of the grocery store, he'll open up his journal to talk. With a pressing question! Because he kind of misses home.]

So... I've noticed that there's a lot of people from Japan here. Oh, which is fine! That's totally cool, I've always wanted to visit, actually. But I was wondering if there was anyone else from Germany here? Or Europe? Or hey, maybe even just New York?
