[Locked to Housemates]
[Kurt arrived none too gently in the middle of the night, lying in front of the fountain. His head was dizzy, but when he finally came to, he realized people were walking by him without so much as looking at him, despite his current state. He realized it was night time, but he was still stunned that they didn't seem to notice him. It was only when he waved his own hand in front of his face and realized he could barely see it that he became suspicious. After moving into the light, it was almost as if he was not stepping from the shadows, but front a literal blanket of darkness. It was almost as if the darkness made him completely invisible.
After making his way to the roof, he realized that everything around him was so much clearer. It wasn't quite like daylight, but he could see even into the dark alleyways with almost perfect clarity. Whatever the Malnosso did to him, it was weird. He makes his way home that night, not realizing an even bigger surprise is waiting for him.]
[Open To All]
[The next day when Kurt goes out, he does so with a pair of sunglasses on, in order to cover his now glowing eyes. He avoids the Brigade meeting on purpose (and will be doing so for awhile), instead settling for the mundane task of a quick trip to the grocery store. He's trying to avoid being spotted, so most of his travel will be done by roof top. For the sake of his friends though, he does leave a voice post. He's still wearing his sunglasses for that.]
Hey everyone, it's Kurt. Looks like I'm back. I'm just ahhh... a little under the weather, yeah? I'll be back to normal in no time.
[At least, he hopes he will.]

[At least, he hopes he will.]
[voice]
At that rate, you'll be towering over me again in no time.
[voice]
[voice]
...but, really. You're all right? I've been worried since I heard you were taken.
[voice]
I guess so. The Malnosso aren't very good hosts, but... I'll be fine. [he doesn't sound as convincing as he's trying.]
[voice]
DEALBREAKER][No, he really doesn't sound that convincing at all. It's clear something is bothering him, but Vivi doesn't want to push him too hard if he really doesn't want to talk about it right now. She settles for just asking outright; if he chooses not to answer, then she won't press for now.]
Kurt-san. What happened?
[voice]
[Mutant stuff is a pretty big blanket excuse. He figures that should be enough.]
[voice]
So it's not something the Malnosso did? [That at least should be less worrying, right? At least Vivi tries to tell herself that, but with Kurt still clearly bothered by something, it's a small comfort.]
[voice]
[voice]
All right. As long as that's okay with you. [She can sense his reluctance, so she doesn't want him to feel forced. Still, she'd be lying to say she didn't want to know what was wrong, though it's more born of concern than curiosity.]
[voice]
Maybe this evening? We could meet somewhere. [He could invite her over, but he'd no longer have the house to himself then.]
[voice]
[voice]
The bridge in front of your place.
[voice]
[She really hopes he's all right. Waiting until evening to find out what's wrong won't be easy, especially given her tendency to worry.]
[voice > Action]
[And he does, several hours later. Once the message is out, he teleports to the bridge, sitting on the railing in a crouched position, his tail darting back and forth as he tosses a few stones he collected into the water. Strangely enough, he doesn't seem to be as glum as before.]
[action]
Kurt-san!
[action]
Hey Vivi. Sorry for dragging you out this late.
[action]
[Vivi glances over him quickly, as if to confirm with her own eyes he's really okay. He doesn't seem to be hurt, at least, but he's already told her that much. It's impossible not to notice he's still wearing the sunglasses, though. With no sun. ...something tells her that has to do with whatever he plans to show her.] Are you feeling any better now?
[action]
Just try not to be freaked out, okay?
[action]
Is it that bad, Kurt-san? [Her gaze goes to those dark glasses again. Could his eyes have been injured?]
[action]
[Deep breath and the shades go away, revealing two shining yellow eyes. The fact it's dark out makes them all the more striking.]
[action]
Your eyes are-- can you still see all right? [It seems like a stupid question once she asks it--he's certainly not acting as if he's blind.]
[action]
I see better, actually. At night time, anyway. I can see everything almost as clear as the day.
[action]
[Actually, it almost sounds handy, but she realizes he's sensitive about his appearance.]
[action]
[But. It doesn't. He glances away, still feeling ashamed.]
[action]
...please don't look away. It doesn't bother me. [It's different, yes. It'll take some getting used to, but in the grand scheme of things, it's just a superficial change.]
