[Kurt arrived none too gently in the middle of the night, lying in front of the fountain. His head was dizzy, but when he finally came to, he realized people were walking by him without so much as looking at him, despite his current state. He realized it was night time, but he was still stunned that they didn't seem to notice him. It was only when he waved his own hand in front of his face and realized he could barely see it that he became suspicious. After moving into the light, it was almost as if he was not stepping from the shadows, but front a literal blanket of darkness. It was almost as if the darkness made him completely invisible.

After making his way to the roof, he realized that everything around him was so much clearer. It wasn't quite like daylight, but he could see even into the dark alleyways with almost perfect clarity. Whatever the Malnosso did to him, it was weird. He makes his way home that night, not realizing an even bigger surprise is waiting for him.]

[The next day when Kurt goes out, he does so with a pair of sunglasses on, in order to cover his now glowing eyes. He avoids the Brigade meeting on purpose (and will be doing so for awhile), instead settling for the mundane task of a quick trip to the grocery store. He's trying to avoid being spotted, so most of his travel will be done by roof top. For the sake of his friends though, he does leave a voice post. He's still wearing his sunglasses for that.]

Hey everyone, it's Kurt. Looks like I'm back. I'm just ahhh... a little under the weather, yeah? I'll be back to normal in no time.

[At least, he hopes he will.]

[LIES. Robin knows where everyone is at all times. Stop teleporting places and making it difficult.]

I don't suppose you feel like talking about what they did to you while you were gone. [Post-mallynap reports are strangely fascinating, but not everyone's cool about discussing it.]

[Somehow Robin is one of those people he wouldn't be so worried about seeing the change. Mostly because Robin, despite being only human, is about as weird as they come.]

Well... they experimented on me. Most of the time was spent locked up.

Drugs? What can you describe about the part of the facility you saw?

[Yeesh Robin, he's just going to get some lunch, he wasn't expecting a debriefing.]

I don't know... it seemed like a hospital or laboratory. I was mostly kept in a padded cell. My powers didn't work while I was there. Sometimes they'd make me go through obstacle courses in something like the dome. I could use my powers then, but not to escape.

What about the trip? Did you get to see any of the outdoors? Landmarks, anything?

[Shaking his head this time.]

I wasn't conscious for any of that.

[Robin nods, having considered that Kurt would be too big of an escape risk to be taken any other way.]

And the longterm damage? Have you gotten yourself checked out yet? There seems to be an ongoing problem with people getting left surprises after they've been taken.

Yeah, I know. [Oh what the hell. It's Robin. He pulls his shades away.] They made some changes.

[Oh. Well. That's a little jarring. This is probably one of those occasions where Kurt needs someone to be reassuring or something. Maybe pat him on the arm. Robin is not going to provide that service, though. That would be just weird.]

I'm assuming that's not something that normally happens to someone with your physiology.

[He'd like to think it's just some temporary thing, but he ends up looking away, before sliding the sunglasses back on.]

I don't know. It could be.

Is there a noticeable change in your vision?

My night vision is way better now. It's almost as clear at night as it is right now.

Without a degradation in your daylight vision? [ Why are there complaints. :| ]

They probably considered it an improvement.

I'd rather have my old eyes back. [His night vision was decent enough before.]

Can't you hide them until it wears off? I thought I read some business about a cloaking device.

It isn't working. [He tried it, immediately. It's like the Malnosso sabotaged it or something.]

Well, it does work. Just... not on me. [Apparently this is the Malnosso's way of saying 'deal with it'.]

[Some hesitation here. Kurt's dwelling on this too much, and it's dragging him into a place that borders on being unKurt. What would the Titans do?]

... You play basketball, right?

[He blinks at that, not quite expecting that change in the subject.]

... I know how to play. [It just came out of nowhere dude.] You mean right now?

[What. He's new at this whole "being the supportive one" thing.] You're telling me you've got something more productive to do?

Well... not really. [Just lunch. But he's really not sure he's up to this.]

Oh, so you mean you're afraid to play against me.
