[Kurt arrived none too gently in the middle of the night, lying in front of the fountain. His head was dizzy, but when he finally came to, he realized people were walking by him without so much as looking at him, despite his current state. He realized it was night time, but he was still stunned that they didn't seem to notice him. It was only when he waved his own hand in front of his face and realized he could barely see it that he became suspicious. After moving into the light, it was almost as if he was not stepping from the shadows, but front a literal blanket of darkness. It was almost as if the darkness made him completely invisible.

After making his way to the roof, he realized that everything around him was so much clearer. It wasn't quite like daylight, but he could see even into the dark alleyways with almost perfect clarity. Whatever the Malnosso did to him, it was weird. He makes his way home that night, not realizing an even bigger surprise is waiting for him.]

[The next day when Kurt goes out, he does so with a pair of sunglasses on, in order to cover his now glowing eyes. He avoids the Brigade meeting on purpose (and will be doing so for awhile), instead settling for the mundane task of a quick trip to the grocery store. He's trying to avoid being spotted, so most of his travel will be done by roof top. For the sake of his friends though, he does leave a voice post. He's still wearing his sunglasses for that.]

Hey everyone, it's Kurt. Looks like I'm back. I'm just ahhh... a little under the weather, yeah? I'll be back to normal in no time.

[At least, he hopes he will.]

I mentioned him, in passing. This Charles is convinced that because we come from different worlds, our Magnetos must be different in temperament and that the Erik he knew would never be capable of what ours is.

[She trails off at that last bit. There's a definite "but" there, even if Ororo doesn't say it aloud.]

What do you think? [He hasn't encountered that version of Magneto and he avoided the previous one. So he's pretty concerned. He's seen Magneto do some really cruel things. Like brainwashing his own daughter.]

I think that we have cause for concern. He may not be the one we know, but the slightest similarity already has me wary; it appears that he has the same views on mutants and humans as our Magneto does.

Big surprise there. Does he realize it's pointless in a place like this?

I'm sure he's been informed of such since he made his invitation over the journals. But you know Magneto, nothing will stop him once he has his mind set on it.

At least the people here won't fall for that stuff as easily as they do back home. [Or that's what he hopes, anyway. Kurt is able to fit in well enough in spite of his looks. Though that itself could change.]

Well, we'll have to see. He can be convincing if he wishes to be. [She's a little worried about Gambit, really.]

In any case, all we can do at the moment is remain on our guard. There is no use in our actively engaging him when he has done nothing wrong. [yet, anyway.]

Not that we've had much luck engaging him in the past...

[He's not sure they could ever claim to have a 'win' against Magneto.]

Another reason to avoid him until further notice, then. [With the nature of Luceti, Ororo just wants to make sure the rest of the - well, she can't keep calling them kids when they're clearly not anymore, but. She just wants to keep them safe.]

[bamfing]

[A quiet nod and he goes back to staring at his breakfast a bit longer. He doesn't quite look up again when he speaks again.] Did you invite the professor to stay here?
