[Locked to Housemates]
[Kurt arrived none too gently in the middle of the night, lying in front of the fountain. His head was dizzy, but when he finally came to, he realized people were walking by him without so much as looking at him, despite his current state. He realized it was night time, but he was still stunned that they didn't seem to notice him. It was only when he waved his own hand in front of his face and realized he could barely see it that he became suspicious. After moving into the light, it was almost as if he was not stepping from the shadows, but front a literal blanket of darkness. It was almost as if the darkness made him completely invisible.
After making his way to the roof, he realized that everything around him was so much clearer. It wasn't quite like daylight, but he could see even into the dark alleyways with almost perfect clarity. Whatever the Malnosso did to him, it was weird. He makes his way home that night, not realizing an even bigger surprise is waiting for him.]
[Open To All]
[The next day when Kurt goes out, he does so with a pair of sunglasses on, in order to cover his now glowing eyes. He avoids the Brigade meeting on purpose (and will be doing so for awhile), instead settling for the mundane task of a quick trip to the grocery store. He's trying to avoid being spotted, so most of his travel will be done by roof top. For the sake of his friends though, he does leave a voice post. He's still wearing his sunglasses for that.]
Hey everyone, it's Kurt. Looks like I'm back. I'm just ahhh... a little under the weather, yeah? I'll be back to normal in no time.
[At least, he hopes he will.]

[Action]
Thanks. [... he glances at Gambit to comment on something about him.] Nice... goatee. [Though that's when he notices Gambit's unusual eyes. He'd never really given much though to those before.]
[Action]
...Still, the goatee comment earns a half-hearted laugh. Of all comebacks.]
If you say so.
[These unusual eyes regard Kurt for a beat longer before turning back to the jalapenos he was inspecting. His tone is off-handed.] Hope you already told de other X-Men you're back.
[Action]
[Action]
Yeah. Jus' seem t'keep runnin' into all of you. Small world, non?
[Really small. Seriously, Luceti.]
[Action]
[So. Kind of inevitable to not run into the few other mutants in Luceti.]
[Action]
Guess you got a point.
[He's still paying more attention to produce than he is to his fellow mutant. At least on the surface.]
So're those sunglasses some kinda fashion statement or what?
[Action]
Just something the Malnosso decided to do.
[Action]
But he's stalked around the X-Men long enough to know how much the demonlike appearance bugs Nightcrawler. So it's probably hitting the kid hard. Which, of course, calls for making light of it.]
Could be worse, neh? They coulda made you look like Sabretooth.
[Action]
[Action]
I heard they did that kinda thing. Or at least shrunk people.
[C'mon, dude, it's not so bad.]
[Action]
[It's very bad, dude. Gambit's eyes are cool and mysterious. Kurt's are scary.]
[Action]
[Gambit's eyes have scared people since he was born. He knows how it is.]
'Sides, I'd think people'd be used to this kinda thing 'round here by now.
[re: Will not care about your weird eyes.]
[Action]
[He could explain it. But this is Gambit. For all he knows, he'll just get mocked for it. More than that, he just doesn't have any reason to share this kind of thing with him.]
Anyway, are you working for Magneto again?
[Action]
Ain't that it's any concern of yours, mon ami, but non. No reason to, here. Last I heard, all he's worried about is gettin' outta here, anyway.
[And honestly, who can blame him for that? He's sure half you good guys are focused on the same.]
[Action]
Ditto for the rest of us. [He wonders if Mags can do it, though. He is one of the most powerful mutants in the world.]
[Action]
Common goals, homme. I ain't here to cause any trouble for y'all.
[Or, at least, he hasn't seen any reason to yet.]
[Action]
Who said anything about being worried about you? [Fighting in a war puts old foes into a whole different kind of perspective.]
[Action]
My mistake. Old habits dyin' hard, I guess.
[Action]
If it makes you feel better, I'll keep an eye on you anyway. [He was planning to anyway. Just like last time.]
Re: [Action]
Jus' like old times. But don' say I didn' warn you if it's a l'il boring this time 'round.
[Action]
Maybe I should be watching you for shoplifting. You do know it's all free, yeah?
[Action]
'Course I do. But it ain't no excuse for gettin' rusty.
[Even though it kind of is. But you never know when you'll need thievery skills.]
[Action]
[Action]
[Don't challenge him on this, Nightcrawler. Things might mysteriously go missing.]
