Sechzehn - [Action/Accidental Video]
[May 12th. Do you know what that is? Well, it's the publication month of Nightcrawler's comic debut and the last two digits of the year, 1975, added up to make the day. It's Kurt's birthday! He's eighteen. Kind of. Sort of. He arrived in Luceti in roughly the same month as it was back home, so while it may be a few days off of being a real year since his last birthday, it's close enough!
So he's got things to do today. And what with Rogue being family she gets to be a part of it. After school and the Brigade meeting/slave labor, there's some cake at home - made by Rogue even. And then he'll manage to use her good will to talk her into some Battle Dome times. Although it's not exactly his preferred genre, he convinces her to play out a classic Western in the Dome, playing as sheriff and deputy against some bandits. (Yeah, he's the sheriff.) Too bad he pretty much has no sense of aim at all with a gun, even if it is a simulated one.
Dinner? That's at Seventh Heaven. He's hoping he can order some good old classic burger bomb and cheese fries.. The more Fast Food-esque, the better. He'll probably have to settle for them being cooked well and being real food. Well, no one said Luceti was perfect. Sometimes you just can't get the greasy fast food you want.]
[After that, at the Rec Center, they'll just play some good old fashioned games. Kurt's pretty good at air hockey, but he soon discovers Rogue is waaaay too good at pool. Which leads to him trying to press his natural advantage as he BAMFS and hangs from the ceiling above the table, trying to make a very tricky while upside down. And wouldn't you know it, before he teleported, he stepped back on his school bag and knocked his journal out and open to start recording.]
--what do you think you're doin'?
What does it look like? I'm trying to make a shot!
That is cheatin', Kurt. Get your butt back down here. That is no way ta play pool.
It's not cheating! I'm still hitting the ball with the stick, yeah? It's totally fair!
Part of the game is working the angles from the ground.
Come on, that is so lame!" [He bamfs back to the ground.] "There's no way I can hit it like this.
Sure ya can. Ya just need ta work the angles an' hit the ball right." ... "An' loosen up on that stick. You're holding it too tight.
[Reluctantly Kurt gives in. He still needs to go over the balls, so while he aims with one hand, he steadies the other end of his pool stick... with his tail. Over his head.]
Kurt!
((ooc: Dual post in progress, so get your tags from Kurt and
touchofrogue. Hit 'em up at any of the locations or just do the journal thing if you want. For the Battle Dome, you can run into 'em before or after they play out the scenario (or just sit up in the viewing area and watch it.) Also, housemates and fellow Brigade members would probably already know it's his birthday, but not so much others.))

[And a brace of extra bullets strapped across her chest, and a Colt revolver hung low and tied down to her right thigh. She'd have preferred a Sig, but it was Kurt's game and he was all about authenticity.]

It's perfect! It's almost like walking into the set of Gunsmoke. Only with more color. [No no, not the world Vash is from.]
no subject
[Yes. Rogue just did confuse 'Gunsmoke' with 'Tombstone.' On purpose? Who knows?]
no subject
[Honestly, Rogue! How could you get that mixed up. Jeez...]

[It was a nice little find in those other DVDs he received from the Malnosso. But hey, longest TV show of all time, it was a good thing to include.
But okay, he's heading to the Sheriff's Office. He figures they'll have to be holed up in there before the action starts.]
no subject
It doesn't have Val Kilmer. Or Clint Eastwood. An' it's a Western. Why would I watch this again?
no subject
[Okay, this is the Sheriff's chair. He's just gonna sit into it and lean back. They should get attacked any second now...]
no subject
Does it have vampires?
[Surely she must be kidding. Right?]
no subject
No. No vampires. [Okay then... any second. In fact, outlaws are positioning themselves all around the place. This would be a cause for concern, if the safeties weren't on. Fortunately for them, a shot from a bullet will just be like getting smacked. Nothing too worry about, but not easily missed.]

[And just then she notices something flickering in the office window, and she abruptly stands straight.]
Shadow at your nine.
no subject
[Okay, he's getting out of the chair and creeping towards the window, spotting a shooter. He pulls out one of his peacemakers and readies it to fire.]
The shoot outs are good, though. [Okay here he goes! BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM CLICK... oh yeah. He's seen way too many action movies. They never have this problem in those. He ducks back down, having failed to hit anything.]
no subject
Ya get him?
no subject
I was this close, really.

Kurt! I thought you had the window!
[And she wouldn't say she was an expert marksman or anything like that, but though her shoulder's stinging she sights the guy peering at them over the roof and lets out a shot that misses - but makes him duck back. Looks like she's bought herself some time to crawl over to the window and take pot shots at the guy if Kurt has the door now.]
no subject
Someone is coming through the door!
[Okay, not much of an excuse. But just about then the door goes flying open. Kurt's tail wraps around the goon's leg and then pulls his feet out from under him. He hesitates a moment... then shoots the outlaw. No bloody gore here. The cowboy just goes still and eventually fades away. Yeah, he doesn't like gore in his sims.]
no subject
She ejects her shells and loads in two more shots, uncertain if she'd hit Mr. RG or not.]
