[On the last night of the draft, Kurt took a major beating. For those who had been there, Kurt had become a flurry of teleportations, moving in and out of the enemies and becoming almost impossible to follow. He doesn't know how many he might have wounded or killed, but it had all been halted when he got stabbed with a near fatal wound. He doesn't even recall what happened after that. In fact, between that and the sickness, he only wakes up today in a bed in the medical center. When he tries to get up, he realizes that's not so much a good idea.

At the very least, he finds his journal next to him. So... he pulls that out to ask the inevitable question on his mind.]

I'm back in one piece. Sorry if I worried anyone, but I'm ahh... not even sure what happened.

[He goes for another slice of pizza. Stupid bed rest.]

[Current rainy day excluded, of course. With a satisfied smile, Mikage finishes off his slice and grabs the box, pulling out a couple of decorative cardboard boxes.]

I found some games at the shop while I was out! Oh, and cards, and a couple of books that looked kind of exciting. It's not much, but hopefully it'll help time fly a little faster, right?

[Wow, board games. Not his usual grade of excitement, but the best you can get around here.]

Wow, I haven't played some of these games in forever. [His eyes settle on Battleship and he pulls that one towards him.]

Doesn't look familiar. [Mikage shuffles closer, leaning on the bed.] Teach me how and we can try it!

[Sounds like a done deal, then. Kurt starts setting it up. It'll be kind of awkward playing it with him in the bed like this, but there's no way around it.]

It's pretty easy. You get these boats, yeah? And you just set them up on your side and I do the same with mine. Then we take turns by announcing what grid to fire on. You keep track of whether you hit or miss on the top panel. You lose once all the spots on your ship have been hit.

Oh, got it! Yeah, I can play that, no problem. [Mikage follows suit, setting up and peering at the coordinate system. Huh, just like hawkzile navigation, then. Alright, he is ready to sink some ships!]

[Okay... let's see. He'll just start in the top right corner and declare his first shot there.]
