[On the last night of the draft, Kurt took a major beating. For those who had been there, Kurt had become a flurry of teleportations, moving in and out of the enemies and becoming almost impossible to follow. He doesn't know how many he might have wounded or killed, but it had all been halted when he got stabbed with a near fatal wound. He doesn't even recall what happened after that. In fact, between that and the sickness, he only wakes up today in a bed in the medical center. When he tries to get up, he realizes that's not so much a good idea.

At the very least, he finds his journal next to him. So... he pulls that out to ask the inevitable question on his mind.]

I'm back in one piece. Sorry if I worried anyone, but I'm ahh... not even sure what happened.

Spoilsport. Though it would make a pretty good prank, now that I think about it.

Maybe even better if the person getting pranked was the one wearing it.

[Hey, Xavier did it to Kurt. But he was able to tell what was going on. Given how Luceti works... someone could easily be tricked.]

Hey, there's an idea! How amazing would that be? They could be walking around the town and have no idea what's wrong with them!

Even better if we already know what the person looks like as a girl, yeah?

[Kurt... already has a target in mind.]

[Mindreader, or just very much in sync with his bro? HMMM.]

Well, who else is there? I do, after all, have a recording.

[... which he won't show Mikage. But he'll have to show Leon to program it into the watch.]

...Wait, wait, a recording? When did that happen?

Shuri, remember? I told you about it before, man. What were you thinking of?

Ah, come on... just think about how many people have been turned into girls by now, it could be anyone!

[He pauses, though, and then-]

Hey, Kurt... Shuri's been through a lot lately. I don't want to pick on him too much.

[His pranks lately have focused a little too much on harassing the guy, and after all that's happened, he could probably use a break.]

What... really?

[... he hadn't expected Mikage to be the one to give Shuri a break, but... okay. Kurt will let it go.]

You have someone else in mind?

[It happens on occasion. Mikage waves a hand, leaning back in his chair.]

Nobody comes to mind, but I bet between the two of us, we can figure something out. Besides, this is only giving Shuri a break, not a free ride! There's no reason why we can't pull some pranks on him later.

Well, it's not like I'm going anywhere soon anyway.

[He goes for another slice of pizza. Stupid bed rest.]

Save it for a rainy day!

[Current rainy day excluded, of course. With a satisfied smile, Mikage finishes off his slice and grabs the box, pulling out a couple of decorative cardboard boxes.]

I found some games at the shop while I was out! Oh, and cards, and a couple of books that looked kind of exciting. It's not much, but hopefully it'll help time fly a little faster, right?

[Wow, board games. Not his usual grade of excitement, but the best you can get around here.]

Wow, I haven't played some of these games in forever. [His eyes settle on Battleship and he pulls that one towards him.]

Doesn't look familiar. [Mikage shuffles closer, leaning on the bed.] Teach me how and we can try it!

[Sounds like a done deal, then. Kurt starts setting it up. It'll be kind of awkward playing it with him in the bed like this, but there's no way around it.]

It's pretty easy. You get these boats, yeah? And you just set them up on your side and I do the same with mine. Then we take turns by announcing what grid to fire on. You keep track of whether you hit or miss on the top panel. You lose once all the spots on your ship have been hit.

Oh, got it! Yeah, I can play that, no problem. [Mikage follows suit, setting up and peering at the coordinate system. Huh, just like hawkzile navigation, then. Alright, he is ready to sink some ships!]

I'll try to take it easy on you.

[Okay... let's see. He'll just start in the top right corner and declare his first shot there.]
