bamfing | Zwölf - [Voice/Action]

[Kurt has some messages he needs to leave. None of them have to do with that Brigade business, because he's not really apologetic about people not liking his and Mikage's prank. Nor is he eager to fess up being in a girl's body anyway. However he does need to pass on some news about one of his team mates...]

I guess it's pretty obvious by now, but if anyone didn't know, Kitty's back home now. Which isn't fair, because I was totally here before she was! Pretty lame, yeah?

[It's obvious this happened long enough ago that it doesn't bother Kurt now. It doesn't hurt that going home is a GOOD thing and he's just disappointed she got to go home before him. After all, he changes the subject almost immediately. He's doing this mostly because of Anne and partly because Rogue endorsed it in her own way.]

So... does anyone here like acting? Back in Bayville, I was in a drama club, which was pretty cool. Anyone else into that kind of thing?

[Outside of that, Kurt is in his usual haunts. At home playing video games, hanging around on whatever roof he feels like being on, or DEFENDING THE ALAMO in the Battle Dome. Disturb as you will. If you're just doing something interesting out in the open, he may disturb you against your will.]

[Rogue woke up with a fragment of a bad dream -

her arm exploding, thousands of people screaming-
-blood streaming down her hands and flip, flip, flip of cards and the itch to touch-
-the smooth slide underneath her fingertips-

-and gave sleep up as a lost cause. Her encounter with Gambit earlier had upset her to the point where the psyches got stirred up, and she was giving sleep up for loss for the night.

So when Kurt appears, however he appears, she'll be sitting at the kitchen table with a blanket, her face bare of make-up, huddled around a mug.]

[Kurt suddenly appears with a sudden BAMF in the living room. He's not expecting anyone else to be awake, as he's the only real night owl in this happy group. He'd normally go straight to bed, but he's a little shaken up from running into one of the enemy in Luceti. Which is why he intends to calm it down by chugging down some apple juice, but when he turns towards the kitchen, he finds Rogue there instead. Well... that's unexpected.]

Can't sleep?

[Silly Kurt, asking personal questions when Rogue isn't shaken enough to actually talk about them. She gives an almost Logan-like grunt and tilts her head towards him in almost-agreement.]

Late night?

[Fine, you win. He goes to the fridge and digs in for the apple juice.]

Not that late. I ah, ran into a familiar face.

[Sigh. She'd been hoping to wait and have this talk with Storm, but...]

Gambit?

[... well, Kurt isn't nearly as on top of things as he thought. He turns around, juice in hand.]

You already ran into him?

He reintroduced himself this afternoon.

[And you can tell she's just thrilled by this. Regardless of the thrill factor, she also doesn't seem to be too threatened. There's a bit of disgust in her tone, maybe, but no real concern.]

[Well that's what he gets for hanging out all day doing Brigade and Battle Dome stuff. After grabbing a glass, he sits down at the table.]

He kind of... ah, caught me tailing him.

[A sympathetic smirk.] Figures. He's very good at what he does.

[No 'What were you doing tailing him?' Rogue ain't Scott, and she'd done the same thing herself not so long ago.] Was he doin' something?

[Yeah, he kind of noticed Gambit was good, seeing as how he managed to shake Kurt. He frowns as he fills up his glass.]

He was being Gambit? [Does he need any other reason to tail the guy?] He came out of Good Spirits.

[Point - and Rogue raises her mug in Kurt's direction in acknowledgment of that fact. That wasn't what she meant, though, exactly, she'd wanted to ask if he was doing anything horribly suspicious like terrorizing kittens or charging up the fountain for kicks (hey, she LIKES that fountain).

Coming out of the bar? She's only surprised he was by himself.]

He said he'd been here a few days before deignin' to inform us of his presence.

I enjoy a well performed play from time to time.

Funny you should ask... I was actually just wondering if there was anything like a drama society here in Luceti.

[Kurt gives an absent nod to that as well as a half hearted raising of his glass.]

He probably knows everything about what we've doing...

[A somewhat glum note enters her wry tone.] I wouldn't be surprised. He watched me for weeks 'fore he kidnapped me. He'd have ta know we wouldn't be exactly keen on havin' him here [...although her feelings may be a bit more complicated, she still wasn't exactly jumping for joy] and he's too damn slippery ta put us on our guard until he's satisfied with what he knows.

[...disturbed by your sister's knowledge of the Acolyte, Kurt, or chalking it up to post-absorption effects?]

She went back home?

Yeah... that does suck... It always sucks when friends get sent back.

[[And moving on...]] I had to do some acting here once. Haruki made us do "A Journey West" once... He seriously had me lift a huge rock...

I was in the school play once. I was one of the three musketeers, so I even got to wear a feathery hat!

[Eh-heh-heh, opps? She thought she'd mentioned that to him, if she'd realized he didn't know she would have handled it with more tact. Or made the attempt. Possibly.]
