Sechs - [Action/Voice]

[Kurt is hanging out at the Battle Dome today. One nice thing about not having Wolverine around is that the programs he gets to pick aren't too hard and he gets to pick his own pace. But practice is still important, right? Besides, he gets to practice using the handy saber he picked up at the weapon shop. Sure, maybe it isn't practical to his typical training in subduing enemies with guns or mutant powers, but it's way more fun. But then, he'll probably never legitimately be fighting pirates on the high seas in epic sword duels. It's his guilty pleasure, okay? He likes to see imagine himself as a handsome, swashbuckling hero.

In between sessions, he decides to take a break, eat something from the vending machine and chat with people.]

People use the battle dome here a lot, right? Anyone have any favorite scenarios they like to fight in?

[It's hard for Kurt not to. It's a little disconcerting when Sapphire's pokemon are around like this.]

How many are you up to now?

Three an'...four or five out of the next set. The Battle Tower has ya fight seven trainers in a row for each, an' ya rack up a streak ta get closer to the top.

Frontier battles ain't our kinda thing, but it's really good endurance fightin' - which ends up bein' more important when yar power's cut in half.

Yeah, endurance is definitely good. [Although he glances at the big metal thing.] Are you sure they don't need a longer break?

["A bit" in this case being "about twenty minutes while Sapphire takes another shot at operating vending machines".

The Blaziken and Tropius follow suit, though more gracefully - they sit against the wall, trying not to hog the walking space like a certain armored lug.

And Sapphire heads over to the contraptions in question.]

[He'll follow her over there, curious to see if she can actually operate it.]

Nothing like a little refuel juice, right?

Uh, sure!

[She presses most of the keypad buttons a few times.

Then stares.

...Then jumps the hell back when it spits out something that she has never even heard of.]

[... okay, so clearly she doesn't.]

[bamfing]

[Stepping on up now, he leans against the machine and gestures at the options.]

So what can I do for you, Sapph?

...I don't know much about recovery potions, an' I don't think this has berries in it. Ya see anythin' that might work for us?

[bamfing]

Uhh, well... [He presses a few buttons and gets a potion dispensed out.] I've seen Terra use these before. Maybe it works on Pokemon too?

[She waves Toro over.]

Who's Terra?

[bamfing]

Just a friend. We're neighbors. She hang out her all the time. [He starts going through the options, since he's feeling a bit hungry...]

[Sapphire nods. Toro is now standing beside them - having heard the conversation, she's already holding an arm out, allowing Sapphire access to a mild scrape on the grey forearm.

Sapphire looks up at the Blaziken for confirmation, and after fumbling a bit with the bottle, sprays a bit of it onto the cut. A few seconds pass before it seals up as she watches.]

Hey, it works!

[She bounds over to Pilo and Rono with the potion.]

[bamfing]

[Kurt nods in satisfaction.]

I think you can drink that stuff too. But you don't want to. It's definitely not any kind of soda you want to drink.

[...She takes an experimental sniff, then leans back with a wrinkled nose.]

I think I'll be good.

...Well, whaddaya guys think? Up for one more run?

[The Pokemon give a determined shout, and Sapphire copies it.]

Yeah! All right, let's give it another shot!

[off to the battle sim!]

[bamfing]

Good luck! [... or something. He's not about to hold her up, but he may stick around to watch in the viewing area outside the chamber.]
