Fünf - [Action/Voice]

[It's been two weeks since Kurt had been at school. Or much of anywhere, really. He'd only checked in on a few of the friends who already knew about his 'fuzzy condition' and otherwise avoided being spotted, mostly lurking in the dark. Which meant turning in the homework Terra picked up for him, explaining away the fact he was 'sick', and avoiding too many questions being asked. After that, he even attends the Brigade meeting like a good little minion, despite also being absent from it for the entire month so far. Afterward, he'll be hanging around town, including testing out the Battle Dome. It's a lot like the Danger Room he's familiar with.

Once that's all said and done, he'll go ahead and make himself known on the journals.]

So, I kind of disappeared there for awhile. Sorry about that. I was uh, not quite feeling like myself. How's everyone doing?

Well we didn't have DVDs when I was a kid... just VHS. But pretty much, yeah.

The old format for movies. Instead of discs, they were in... boxes. With film reels inside of them. [That's not a very good explanation, is it?]

Really? What year are you from? [He's just casually assuming you're from Earth. Because only Earth has movies, obv.]

Just checking. That makes sense, if you're still using film reels.

Um. Nothing really. I figured if you were using film reels, you had to be from early 20th century, maybe late 19th.

No, the country I live in is Amestris. You've probably never heard of it.

... I think the typical American response would be, "It's in Europe, right?"

But yeah... never heard of it.

Guess you've never heard of automail then, huh?

Well, no. But I guess it's probably just another word for e-mail, right?

No! It's a metal prosthetic!

Oh... we have those. But they're just called prosthetics.

I mean, we have regular prosthetic limbs too, but automail is very special.

Oh? How special?

Unlike normal prosthetic limbs that are simply a step up from a peg leg, automail is a feat of engineering genius. The design looks and functions as a flesh arm because of its superior craftsmanship and ability to connect to a person's nerves. However unlike a flesh arm automail can be made to hide many things such as rockets and blades. In addition to that one can ask to have their automail customized. I once knew a man who had diamond tipped bear claws on his automail!

Oh! My friend Forge has an arm just like that! Either it's his mutant power or he used his mutant power to make it. I'm not sure which. But his arm could turn into all kind of things. When he's not using it for special stuff, it looks like a regular hand, even.

[Noooot really. His teleporting is no secret.]

Yeah, it allows him to like... instantly understand how machines work. He can invent pretty much anything he can think of. It's pretty amazing!

Well, maybe it is. But I don't think it's all his power. I think, you know, he actually had to learn it. All of it just kind of... came faster to him, right? I never really asked.
