[With his first week of school in Luceti over, Kurt has taken advantage of the day off to make something a little special. A pizza, in fact. It's for a special little friend he made, so given how ridiculous this is, he's done his best to make the pizza when Kitty wasn't at home to call him out for it. Once it's done, he'll be appearing (quite literally) at building 4, teleporting to the sixth floor to knock on the door of Maes Hughes. Hopefully your daughter warned you that she ordered a pizza for lunch.

After putting up with Brigade shenanigans and generally hanging around the plaza area, he'll even make a voice post. Crazy, innit? This is mostly in response to seeing a certain person claiming to be a demon. Something that... struck him rather odd.]

When you think of a demon, what exactly do they look like in your mind? And [a hesitant pause here] what would you do if you saw one like that?

[LATER after being bombarded with how cool demons are, Kurt says something over the journals that will elicit less freaky responses:]

School wasn't so bad here. I can't believe we actually get homework though. What happens if we fail?

Oh, what's your Earth like? Are there a lot of people? [He may not be from Earth, but he's heard about it.]

Like... Earth, I guess. I have nothing to compare it to, really. A lot of people, definitely. Billions over the whole Earth.

Billions...

Is there enough food for people to eat and enough natural resources?

... yeah, mostly. [Some places are better than others, but...]

Mostly... [He has so many questions about Earth, but probably best not to pester someone he just met.]

I heard that it's very green on Earth. Full of flowers.

I guess so. It depends on where you are. There's not many in the city, obviously.

Oh, are there a lot of cities?

Oh yeah, tons. All over the place. What about on your world?

There are a few large cities, but most are small towns scattered here and there.

Must be a pretty empty world. How many people?

Not a whole lot. Nothing like what it sounds like you have on your world. A few hundred thousand maybe.

... wow. Did something happen?

[Vash is quiet for a bit as he debates. He doesn't really want to worry you, but maybe it would be good for people of different Earths to know what happened.] The people on the planet. They were originally from Earth, but our version of Earth had been damaged beyond being able to handle the population. So to survive a project was launched to find a new home, but something went wrong and the project ended up crash landing on Gunsmoke instead.

[Blinking now.]

Whoa, so you're from the future? How far?

Well, I'm not sure. I've heard about a lot of different Earths, so the Earth I was told about may not be your Earth.

But if I had to guess, I'd say at least a couple hundred years.

... I see. Did people leave the Earth because of pollution? [...]

Or was it war?

I think it was more a lack of resources, but it could have been pollution and war. As it was explained to me, by the time the people living there realized the Earth was in trouble... it was already too late.

Only to end up on a planet almost as bad...

Well, it's not all bad, some people have worked really hard and some of the land is starting to grow plants. It will take some time, but one day Gunsmoke will become more like the planet we were suppose to find.

And maybe you can come up with a better name, too.

I hope so too! I hope one day people will think of it as Eden!

A new Garden of Eden... that would be something.

It will be someday.
