[With his first week of school in Luceti over, Kurt has taken advantage of the day off to make something a little special. A pizza, in fact. It's for a special little friend he made, so given how ridiculous this is, he's done his best to make the pizza when Kitty wasn't at home to call him out for it. Once it's done, he'll be appearing (quite literally) at building 4, teleporting to the sixth floor to knock on the door of Maes Hughes. Hopefully your daughter warned you that she ordered a pizza for lunch.

After putting up with Brigade shenanigans and generally hanging around the plaza area, he'll even make a voice post. Crazy, innit? This is mostly in response to seeing a certain person claiming to be a demon. Something that... struck him rather odd.]

When you think of a demon, what exactly do they look like in your mind? And [a hesitant pause here] what would you do if you saw one like that?

[LATER after being bombarded with how cool demons are, Kurt says something over the journals that will elicit less freaky responses:]

School wasn't so bad here. I can't believe we actually get homework though. What happens if we fail?

I turned fifteen here a few months ago. Sokka figured it out. I wasn't keeping track of the time. [She shrugs, smiling.] Fortunately that just means that I can, not that I have to, unlike the Northern Watertribe. It's not that I don't want to get married someday, I do! But I just don't think I'm ready for it right now.

Married at sixteen? Isn't that a little early? [The fact she's even thinking about it seriously is... well, surprising.]

I think so too, but it's pretty normal back home. What's the normal marrying age in your world?

Where I live now, you're not an adult until you're eighteen. I still have a year to go for that.

Oh. That's pretty different. I guess that explains why you have so much time for dating.

[A nod.] And even then, a lot of people won't get married until their mid-twenties. Or even later!

Huh. [And what do you know. Another aspect of his culture that she can't quite understand.] So what about you? Are you dating anyone back home?

[WATCH AS HE DOES NOT FLIP OUT AT THIS:] Yeah, her name is Amanda. She's great.

[WE HAVE ESTABLISHED THAT DATING IS FAR MORE NORMAL FOR HIS WORLD.]

Yeah? I'm glad.

[A grin.] Glad? Were you worried I was going to ask you out or something?

[Again, a doubletake.] What? No! I didn't even think about that.

No, I was just saying I was glad, because the last time we talked it sounded like things were hard for you at home. But at least you have something good to look forward to, and someone to support you.

[Oh poor Katara. He feels for you, he really does.]

Oh, well, yeah. She found out I was a mutant after we first met. But... it didn't bother her at all. [Even the fact he was all fuzzy was fine. She's one in a million. ~~Or maybe that's just her kink.~~]

[She can't help it if she lives in the friend-zone. The fact that you told her she's PRETTY is something that she's going to be wondering at later.]

[If that's the case, maybe in a small way, he's succeeded.]

[Well, it will probably fade from her mind by the time she starts making her house dinner. =/

Katara smiles at him, and then nods at his journal.] Guess I'd better let you get back to that. I still need to get ingredients for tonight's dinner.

[Ah yes... demonology. He's looking forward to that.]

Yeah, sure. What are you making?

I'm not sure. Sokka's not happy unless there's meat and Aang's a vegetarian, so they'll need to be something with enough vegetables to make sure that he gets a full meal, and Zuko has his 'royal standards' ...at least Suki's pretty easy to cook for. It'll probably be a noodle dish with the meat and vegetables on the side so that people can add in what they want.

Wow, picky eaters. [Kurt shakes his head, a little amused.]

You should try making pizza some time. Meat on one side, veggies on the other. Simple as that.

I've never made pizza before... [She laughs.] I never even tried it until a few months ago.

Oh? Did you like it?

[He introduced a little girl to it this morning.]

I did! Not as much as Allen, though. He ate two and a half of them.

[Blink.] Slices or whole pizzas?

Whole pizzas.

And that was his second lunch.

[Allen's stomach is a thing to be feared.]

... wow. That's really something. [And Kurt can only imagine that he must get picked on for being so obese...]
