Ein - [Action/Voice]

[Although Kurt arrived early in the day, walking around the village was not an option. So he was left with little choice but to wait around until evening, listening in on the journals for clues as to what happened to him. Clearly he wasn't the only recent arrival and he learned quite a big from his fellow New Feathers having the situation explained to them. So, in the dead of night, Kurt finally enters the village, teleporting from one room to another. His first stop is the clothing store. After finding some discreet, normal outfit (opting to come back for his X-Men uniform later), he leaves and goes to the item store to find his holo watch. If anyone happens to run into him during the dead of night, they'll find that he's keeping to the shadows and has himself covered in a robe. He'll talk if he's found, at least at first. But he's not keen to reveal himself and will teleport away immediately.

The next morning, though, Kurt will be walking around town in the appearance of a normal human kid, exploring the various parts of the towns, mostly the shops and Welcome Center. Later, he even makes a voice post, sounding just a bit timid as he does so.]

Hello everyone, my name is Kurt. I ah, arrived yesterday. I was wondering if any of my friends were already here? [Seemed reasonable to ask... so many other people arrived to people who already knew them.]

That is who I am. [A pause though.] It is just a name. I'm not actually a worm.

[For a moment Don stands still. Then he moves towards the door, and puts his hand on the lightswitch.]

Before I turn this on, tell me one thing - does the name "X-Men" mean anything to you?

[Kurt crouches down, ready to teleport away. He can't be seen like that. But yet...]

You know of the X-Men? [He's not that surprised. Magneto made sure everyone knew about them. Even so...]

Everyone knows the X-Men. I've read the comics. And you've seen me on TV or something. [The light snaps on.] Welcome to the nexus.

[He blinks at the sudden light. Fortunately for him, the hooded robe he has on is obscuring his features. He does tilt his head at seeing Donatello. And what did he mean by comics?]

... you look so real.

[Hm. Still not ready to show your face? Don will pretend to be very interested in a rack of hats.]

Happens in these worlds-between-worlds. People you thought were fictional, tell you they aren't. [Picks up a hat, considers it, puts it back.] Watch Star Trek? Half the crew is here.

[He turns away from the headgear.] What's up with this "warthog guy", though?

[Kurt finally gets back to his feet, taking this all in curiously. Star Trek crew, huh?]

The Shredder had two stupid minions. They usually messed up all his plans. [He pulls back his hood finally. He is indeed as blue as they say.] At least, that's how it is in the show...

[He leans against the counter.] Who, Hun and Stockman? More like we mess up their plans.

... You look younger.

Stockman? No... he was the giant fly, I think?

[Being accused of looking younger is a surprise though.] Should I not? You are not so... round.

[He considers this.] I might have missed that phase.

I always thought you were about thirty. And that's not true, but thank you anyway.

Thirty? [But that's so old.] I'm seventeen, actually.

Sorry - I would say I'm bad with humans, but I guess that doesn't really apply.

If you want to reconsider the offer of the couch, the inhabitants of the house are two Turtles, a vampire hunter, and a hockey fan. But if you'd rather go elsewhere, no one will give you a hard time.

[Ouch, Donnie. Fuzzy or not, Kurt still thinks of himself as a human.]

Maybe I'll do that... but first I have one other thing I need to find. [Hockey fan is obviously Casey. Vampire Hunter? He didn't remember one of those in the show.]

[As far as Don is concerned, Kurt falls solidly under the heading of Mutant.]

No problem. Want company?

[He considers this. Donatello is the smart guy and they're about to fetch some technology that, push comes to shove, Kurt only vaguely knows how to work with.]

Sure. Just ah, one moment. [He sheds the robe and then pulls a T-Shirt on. He'll worry about the pants later, keeping the bundle he picked out wrapped with his tail.] I'd still rather not be seen. Do you mind if we take a shortcut?

[He raises a brow. You've only been here a few hours and you already know the shortcuts?]

You are a fast learner. Lead on.

[He's not sure what Donatello means by that, but Kurt walks up to the turtle and sets a hand on his shoulder and...]

[BAMF! They both vanish.]

[... and reappear in the general store. Kurt lets Donatello go and goes to look around for his watch.]

Okay. Warning would have been nice.

[The screaming in the back of his head might stop eventually.]

[He glances back and looks apologetic.]

Ah, sorry. I guess the ah, comic book me doesn't do that?

No, he - does.

[But never mind that. It's time for Don to hold his head and mutter to himself.] Are you done yet?

Sorry... the first time's always the hardest.

[He continues searching around.] I'm trying to find a watch.

[Well, if the screaming doesn't stop, he'll just ignore it.]

A watch? [Oh.] Your holo-inducer.

Ah, yes! Exactly. I'm hoping it's here somewhere.

[He's becoming more concerned it's not.]
