[Although Kurt arrived early in the day, walking around the village was not an option. So he was left with little choice but to wait around until evening, listening in on the journals for clues as to what happened to him. Clearly he wasn't the only recent arrival and he learned quite a big from his fellow New Feathers having the situation explained to them. So, in the dead of night, Kurt finally enters the village, teleporting from one room to another. His first stop is the clothing store. After finding some discreet, normal outfit (opting to come back for his X-Men uniform later), he leaves and goes to the item store to find his holo watch. If anyone happens to run into him during the dead of night, they'll find that he's keeping to the shadows and has himself covered in a robe. He'll talk if he's found, at least at first. But he's not keen to reveal himself and will teleport away immediately.

The next morning, though, Kurt will be walking around town in the appearance of a normal human kid, exploring the various parts of the towns, mostly the shops and Welcome Center. Later, he even makes a voice post, sounding just a bit timid as he does so.]

Hello everyone, my name is Kurt. I ah, arrived yesterday. I was wondering if any of my friends were already here? [Seemed reasonable to ask... so many other people arrived to people who already knew them.]

[...His dignity. Where did it go? He sighs after wiping his nose with his sleeve, giving up on the blankets and instead standing up and rolling his shoulders a little]

Anyway, what brings you here?

[Ewww. Use a tissue or something, man.]

The sign was very confusing. I didn't know what this store was for. [He glances around.] ... this isn't a store, is it?

'Course not. ...I guess you're new here, aren't you?

[He... actually takes this advice which is unspoken because he finds that gross too. Where did he put that tissue box? He looks around the room idly after asking that question]

[He nods.] Since yesterday.

[He realizes what Haruki is looking for. Spotting it under the table, he crouches down and picks it up, setting it on the table.]

[Oh. ...He sighs and then gets himself over to the tissues, taking one in hand before he continues with the conversation]

[Kurt blinks at the name. What a strange name.]

Wow... this Haruki must have a huge ego... do you work for him?

I'm Haruki. [Pointing a finger at his chest even]

... oh. [This isn't awkward, given how he just insulted him.] I'm Kurt.

...Yo.

[It's not that awkward, he gets it a lot- excuse him as he sneezes into this tissue before putting it in a little wastebasket back by his desk-thing]

So, for being new you seem to be on the up and up.

I had a lot of time for reading. [There's not much else to do when avoiding people all day until nightfall.]

Yeah? Lucky you; land in the library or something?

Ah, not quite. [He's feeling like he's overstayed his welcome though, so he takes one step back.] I should probably go.

[...Oh no you don't-] So! Kurt, huh? Kurt... [That's definitely an interesting name. So maybe he should look into this-]

New feathers... huh. You arrived the other day, right? Huh...

[He coughs a little] Sit down.

[He blinks at that. He's not sure why he should bother staying but... he takes a seat anyway.]

Yes? What do you want?

So... What can you do, Kurt?

[He's pretty convinced most people here have super-powers after all. And learning something new would be a welcome distraction about now]

[Superpowers? What superpowers?]

Oh. Well... I'm not too bad at skateboarding, I'm undefeated at Mario Kart, and my friends say I'm funny.

Oiiii- you don't have anything better than that? In the Brigade alone we have an alchemist, a part-demon kid, an alien boy genius, a werecat, and a senshi.
