bamfing | Vierzehn - [Action/Voice]

[It's been nothing but rain and gloom since Kurt was tossed back into Luceti on the seventeenth with a few injuries and an unusual interest in his adopted 'sister' Rogue. Some bed rest and food had brought him back to health, but seeing the sun out bright and shining helped has raised his spirits. Sure, it's still a very soggy looking Luceti out there, but some more sunshine should help fix that.

This means Kurt is back into his usual routine of things, teleporting or hopping from roof to roof, hanging out in trees, or catching the beautiful views from on top of community buildings. There's school and the Brigade... but he'll skip those today. He hasn't spent a few days sleeping just to go sit inside and listen to people talk about stuff. Ultimately, he can be found just about anywhere in the village or the outskirts of it, stretching his limbs and enjoying the almost-but-not-quite-Spring weather.

Later her makes a voice post... while upside down in a tree. It's not even that hard to see in the picture box, what with his hair hanging towards the ground and the upside houses behind him. It turns out skipping school and Brigade meetings makes for a pretty dull day and by the time he's missed both of them, he's looking for something to do. Good thing there's social networking tools for bothering all people in Luceti simultaneously.]

So I know being in Luceti is totally whack and mostly lame, but it's not always bad, yeah? I mean, even with messed up experiments and that crazy old guy who makes cool, fuzzy and blue people like me look bad, there's those pretty cool days. Like today's a pretty good one. So, anyone remember any other good times they've had here?

Being Errol was fun too. [They had a fantastically acted out date.]

Ahh, well. There's a lot to pick, actually. But I remember this pretty cool guy, even if he was all monochrome, taking this pretty, fancy lady to lunch. That was pretty cool.

[ a slightly self-conscious pause. ] How have you been doing, Kurt?

I'm feeling better, back to my old self. No more crazy talk, that's for sure.

[ well, that's a relief. still: ]

You're certain? Because I can just about recall a lovely recipe for a very curative stew, just in case you're still feeling...less like yourself.

[Well he DOES like the taste of stew...]

I guess it couldn't hurt... just in case, yeah?

I can prepare some for dinner -- you won't be late, will you?

Ahh, you know it's impossible for me to be late!

All of the teleporting in the world couldn't dissuade a distracted young man, I do not thing. Still -- I will have it on the stove for supper time.

Ahh, but how could I get distracted when there's a pretty girl waiting at home with delicious?

[ laughter. ]

I will see you this evening, Kurt.

[... later that evening, only a minute late, Kurt will BAMF into the kitchen, on top of one of the empty counters.]

[ she still manages to look surprised, every time. ]

How do you know that you won't appear in, say, the fridge? Or a vase of flowers?

Because I'm way too cool for that, Cordelia. I'd look pretty weird if I did that, yeah?

[He hops off the counter.] Am I late?

No. [ she doesn't quibble over the one minute. coming from the period that she did and a world of depending upon horses to get you somewhere on time, a minute meant little in the grand scheme of things. ]

You're just about as on time as you need to be. The stew's just about ready to be served up. And while it was stewing I threw together a quick dough for a batch of rolls.

[ and such is what it is like living with anne shirley who has been taught to do all of this with pep and little need for recognition. she'd much rather recognition for her brains, anyway. ]

You really don't have to put so much work into it, you know.

There are so many hours in a day -- it seems a shame not to do something productive with at least a few of them. Especially if I can share that productivity with someone else.

[Well, she has a point. It's not like there's a lot of things to do around here.]

If you say so. But you're totally going to spoil us.

Then perhaps I should teach you a few recipes, sometime. Then you can spoil the rest of us, too.

Ahh well... maybe. [he doesn't really fancy himself a cook, but he does believe in doing his share, so...]
