Sechs - [Action/Voice]

[Kurt is hanging out at the Battle Dome today. One nice thing about not having Wolverine around is that the programs he gets to pick aren't too hard and he gets to pick his own pace. But practice is still important, right? Besides, he gets to practice using the handy saber he picked up at the weapon shop. Sure, maybe it isn't practical to his typical training in subduing enemies with guns or mutant powers, but it's way more fun. But then, he'll probably never legitimately be fighting pirates on the high seas in epic sword duels. It's his guilty pleasure, okay? He likes to see imagine himself as a handsome, swashbuckling hero.

In between sessions, he decides to take a break, eat something from the vending machine and chat with people.]

People use the battle dome here a lot, right? Anyone have any favorite scenarios they like to fight in?

Three an'...four or five out of the next set. The Battle Tower has ya fight seven trainers in a row for each, an' ya rack up a streak ta get closer to the top.

Frontier battles ain't our kinda thing, but it's really good endurance fightin' - which ends up bein' more important when yar power's cut in half.

[You so completely lost him there.]

Yeah, endurance is definitely good. [Although he glances at the big metal thing.] Are you sure they don't need a longer break?

We're gonna be out here for a bit!

["A bit" in this case being "about twenty minutes while Sapphire takes another shot at operating vending machines".

The Blaziken and Tropius follow suit, though more gracefully - they sit against the wall, trying not to hog the walking space like a certain armored lug.

And Sapphire heads over to the contraptions in question.]

[It's been a few days since Beast Boy arrived in Luceti, and exploration halts to a standstill when he comes across the Battle Dome. Huh. That's new.]

[He'll just be stepping into the lobby, looking crossed between a child in a candy store and a mouse caught in a trap.]

Uh...hello? Any bad guys in here to go along with the big, creepy dome?

[And looking very, very... green. That's just weird, not that Kurt is one to talk. Kurt decides to speak up, calling attention to himself over on this bench he's sitting on.]

Depends, what kind are you looking for?

[Oh hey, a dude. Doesn't look like he's going to try and kill Beast Boy anytime soon, either. Awesome.]

Oh, just the usual, I guess. You know, also big, also creepy, possibly wearing a coat with a hood that lets you see their glowy eyes?

[She scans that list as it goes down, no, no, no - maybe. Hm. Ninja she's never heard of but monsters and aliens are old news for her. She would throw out a specific but a kid like this; paint her curious]

You have a preferred enemy?

[Nope, he's totally cool with the little green elf.]

Uh, maybe. If you really wanted. [Kurt? Is very distracted. And this kid's questions aren't all that important to him. He wants to ask what are you?]

[His saber is still leaning against the seat he was sitting at not too long ago.]

Well, not really. People with swords, kind of? [But he treats it more as a fully interactive video game than actual training.]

[...Hm. She considers this she looks at how he's handling that panel.

Something feels off about his movements. She can't quite put her finger on what but the body language seems slightly abnormal for a human. Could just be paranoia talking though, or deja vu. She gets both a lot. For now, she dismisses it. Might as well focus on the task at hand.]

A swordsman, huh? [A little mirth enters her voice. That's a ~~dead~~ dying breed where she's from. Ignore the fact she's got at least three knifes hidden in parts of her clothes right now and a dagger on her belt.]

[...Okay. Perception isn't Beast Boy's strongest point, but even he can tell something is bothering this guy.]

Uh...you feeling okay, dude? You're not about to go all..."Possessed Guardian of the Temple" on me, are you?

Well, it's a hobby, yeah? [Not entirely a serious choice of weaponry, yet. He prefers to use less lethal means for a real fight. Since she hasn't picked anything yet, he turns away from the console.]

Do you fight with anything?

You're welcome to use any of mine. ... I don't recommend level "a thousand", though.

[That brings him back and he shakes his head.]

Uh, no man. Just... uh, don't take this the wrong way, but are you a mutant?

Uh, sure. I think I'll stick with the lower levels. [He's not sure the levels even go that high!] What kind do you even use?

[... They don't.] What kind what? My sims?

I'm a stickler for classics.

[Hm. Choices... well, let's see if the kid reacts. She pulls the dagger off her belt. It'll look roughly like it's made of onyx, but then, as a vein pops in her head it's going to elongate and balance out and such. Give her the better part of a minute (that long? It's bugging her her T5 is probably reduced to T2 here) and it's a one-bladed sword.]

Tell you what; they got a gian invasion listed in there? Been a while since I killed some lizards. [And, ignoring that she asked him, she'll check the list herself.]

Yeah. Any favorites?

[Huh, that's two for the "mutant" angle. At least he knows how to field it this time.]

Not exactly...but I guess that's close enough. I was normal until I got a bunch of different animals' DNA mixed up into mine when I was a little kid. Long story short, I can change into animals.

[She does get a startled look at that. But not as much as she'd get from your average teenager. What she's doing is pretty comparable to things he's seen Magneto and Forge do.]

Uhh... maybe? I've never went looking for any giant lizards.

[Well huh. Not what he was expecting. Still, that's close enough, right?]

People see you like that. Doesn't that bother you?

Oh, don't get me wrong -- it is fascinating. I've just never used it for "battling."

You have to be more creative, man! Sure, you have to fight stuff, but you can use it to go anywhere you want!

[...Oh wait, search option. "Second Great Gian Crusade" And. Oh they have it; score. Nina grows a wicked grin indeed as she thinks back to what scattered memories she has of that time]

[She doesn't even look back at Kurt when she says this though, naturally, she is observing him out of the corner of her eye]

[... well, the simulators have safety features. And he can teleport outside the chamber if he has to, so what's the harm?]
