Sechs - [Action/Voice]

[Kurt is hanging out at the Battle Dome today. One nice thing about not having Wolverine around is that the programs he gets to pick aren't too hard and he gets to pick his own pace. But practice is still important, right? Besides, he gets to practice using the handy saber he picked up at the weapon shop. Sure, maybe it isn't practical to his typical training in subduing enemies with guns or mutant powers, but it's way more fun. But then, he'll probably never legitimately be fighting pirates on the high seas in epic sword duels. It's his guilty pleasure, okay? He likes to see imagine himself as a handsome, swashbuckling hero.

In between sessions, he decides to take a break, eat something from the vending machine and chat with people.]

People use the battle dome here a lot, right? Anyone have any favorite scenarios they like to fight in?

[Man, this "first name basis" deal is definitely going to take some getting used to. He knows having an actual identity to protect is a joke, and they treat it so casually it doesn't feel like an actual mistake more than just...strange.]

Nah, I'm used to this sort of stuff by now. [He grasps her hand, too, a grin forming on his face as he jabs a thumb over his shoulder at Kurt.] You're...not going to do that teleport-thing to me now too, are you?

[bamfing]

[Kurt waves a hand.] I think I'm good for now.

[And then to Kitty:] Uh, I know it's kind of short notice, but Gar doesn't have anywhere to stay. Is it cool if he crashes on our couch for awhile?

Kurt's the only one who can teleport. My powers aren't even half as exciting.

[She brushes her bangs out of her face, thinking a moment before turning back to Beast Boy with concern.]

Are you really okay sleeping on the couch? I mean, I'm fine with it, sure. I just wish we had a spare bedroom.

[bamfing]

[Kurt nods in satisfaction.]

I think you can drink that stuff too. But you don't want to. It's definitely not any kind of soda you want to drink.

[bamfing]

Oh. [Admittedly he's no computer expert, so he doesn't question it.] That would make things a lot easier, although fighting people off is kind of half the fun.

[bamfing]

[A nod.]

Later, Ororo. [He picks up his sword, heads towards the console, and wonders what a castle siege might be like...]

...Well, whaddaya guys think? Up for one more run?

[The Pokemon give a determined shout, and Sapphire copies it.]

Yeah! All right, let's give it another shot!

Don't sweat it, dude. I'm the one crashing your place here. [Worst case scenario he'll have to change into a spider and spin a web in their corner or something, and he doubts any couch can be THAT uncomfortable.]

Normal sword? [Hey, normal sword... she has to think about this] It won't pierce their armor, but it should cut through the hide if you're strong enough. The underscales are softer too.

[Mind you, she says this as she's still lining up the gian in her sights. Come on, scaly, give her an angle...]

[He'd correct Kitty on not being as exciting, but that's not important right now.]

Who knows? Maybe we'll decide to get a house eventually.

Well, I could always check all of them. [Which wouldn't take him too long.] ... or just check the Welcome Center. They keep track of it there, maybe?

[bamfing]

Yeah, normal sword. [He's tempted to try his luck on this guy first, but... not with her aiming that weapon at it. He'll wait his turn and see how she does first.]

[bamfing]

[... uh.] Winning?

[bamfing]

Good luck! [... or something. He's not about to hold her up, but he may stick around to watch in the viewing area outside the chamber.]

[Okay... okay... and...

Fire. The first burst from the rifle she intends to have blow out the gain's eye, but she misfires and hits his thick upper skull instead. Either way he starts bleeding and turns to them before quickly realizing he should head to cover. Nina curses and then switches the rifle to full auto, letting bullets spray as the gian flees.

Once in the leg is good enough to trip the thing up and then another series of bullets pumping into its sides seem to be sufficient to kill it. Or at least get it out of the action.

Unfortunately, this seems to have alerted all the others in the area, as they now are making a break over for her. Some more rapidly than others]

[bamfing]

[Kurt notices this.]

We've got incoming!

[... and suddenly he vanishes into a puff of smoke. A moment later, he'll appear in the middle of the group of fighters. He'll appear at their feet, tripping one up or slashing their feet, before appearing at another. All in all, it's causing a quite a ruckus in the ranks and some of them even begin to hit each other as a result. About ten seconds of this is enough before Kurt reappears, beside Nina again.]

That should distract them.

[Personal teleportation? Nina actually blinks, amazed for a moment. No known species is capable of things like that, even the xel need a focal point of some sort to dimension-shift. It was possible he has some sort of equipment, but... that was be impressive too. The minute he's back, she glances him once-over.

The only possible thing is that watch, right? But- No, she can't afford that. She lines up her targets again, but as she does that:]

That's a neat trick.

[He's leaning over the rocks, trying to get a good look at the ruckus he caused. Seeing that they are all properly distracted at the moment, he looks back down and grins.]
