[With his first week of school in Luceti over, Kurt has taken advantage of the day off to make something a little special. A pizza, in fact. It's for a special little friend he made, so given how ridiculous this is, he's done his best to make the pizza when Kitty wasn't at home to call him out for it. Once it's done, he'll be appearing (quite literally) at building 4, teleporting to the sixth floor to knock on the door of Maes Hughes. Hopefully your daughter warned you that she ordered a pizza for lunch.

After putting up with Brigade shenanigans and generally hanging around the plaza area, he'll even make a voice post. Crazy, innit? This is mostly in response to seeing a certain person claiming to be a demon. Something that... struck him rather odd.]

When you think of a demon, what exactly do they look like in your mind? And [a hesitant pause here] what would you do if you saw one like that?

[LATER after being bombarded with how cool demons are, Kurt says something over the journals that will elicit less freaky responses:]

School wasn't so bad here. I can't believe we actually get homework though. What happens if we fail?

[It takes him a moment to completely take in Kurt's form, and he sniffs delicately.]

No wonder you smelled sorta different. ...I guess this explains your question about demons, huh?

[He blinks at the comment about smell... but, well, it doesn't bother him. There's been plenty of times Logan has been able to sniff him out for smelling different.]

Yeah, I guess it does. I've been called one enough times to be... familiar with the word.

Well then, that's what I'm saying. Doesn't matter what they look like, just what is they're up to. But that goes for anyone, demon or not, right?

[He was a little surprised at that, but pleasantly so. Here, have a big smile in return. (And I forgot to fill out Kurt's permissions before replying to this, so I'll do it in a second, but it's all good, just don't tell him he's fictional! XD) He won't do it back.]

I think you'll be surprised by how accepting people are around Luceti, if you're worried about that. [Even though he says that, he shakes his head.] But there's a reason you've got this image inducer.

Then other religions say that snakes are demons. I've heard one person say that the sandworms were spawns of demons. The description really run rampant with what people will consider to be a demon. Personally, I've never given it too much thought.

[Well, he agrees with all that. So that works for him.]

No, not really. I've just heard about you. I'm friends with Terra.

[She shakes her head, moving to take a seat beside him.] No, my Gran Gran taught us what we needed to know - how to read and write, basic math and mapmaking, the history of our Tribe...

Honestly, before we came to Luceti, I'd never been around so many people my own age. [There was the North Pole, but she'd been so busy kicking the asses of the boys she met there that she hadn't... really... befriended them. Luceti's a little intimidating because of that, to be honest. When she lets herself think about it.]

Do you want to see one?

Accepting maybe. But... that doesn't always mean they'll think of me as the same. [And it's awkward asking this from Leon, but at least he looks mostly human. Kurt doesn't even have that going for him.] At home, it was the only way I could even go anywhere. Letting people see me like this isn't easy.

[A little curious now:]

What religions exactly?

[He can actually understand that. Before he moved to the Institute, all of his schooling was through his parents. He can hardly fault her for that, because as far as his parents went, they were excellent teachers.

[Katara does a double-take at that question, clearly expecting him to comment on the lovely purple grass before saying anything like that.] What? No! Nothing like that.

[And she blushes.]

[Oh, Kurt. She has no idea what to say about that first post, but she hopes you find your answers.

The school thing though. Hmm...]

I don't think it really matters. Since school is voluntary and everything, you're really just going for yourself, right?

Oh, I'm sure I will.

[And Terra will be leaving plenty for Kurt and his roommate.]

[Shrugs] I was never much for religion honestly, whatever made people feel happy and at peace, and they all had their own pros and cons really. They all kinda blend together after awhile.

[Nice, going with that then! At the mention of Terra, his ears perked up.]

Hey, cool! Any friend of Terra's is a friend of mine! What's your name?

[He ends up laughing at her reaction. Not a mean one, just him being amused at her reaction.]

No? What about here?

[Really, it's all made him more confused. Apparently demons are cool people.]

Yeah, I guess so. That's good enough reason to do the homework, I guess. [Or not. But... he's been doing it anyway. The system has him trained.]

[Leon sighs, though he's a little nervous. He can sense this is an entirely hush-hush thing.] ...Yeah, I kinda figured. It'd be hard to shake off comparisons to people's first impressions of you.

[He taps his chin, looking at Kurt and then the "watch."] But why'd you show your real self to me? Are you expecting something to happen to your image inducer?

Good, good. Nothing like having leftover pie sitting in your fridge for two weeks. Especially when it starts going bad.

He was trying to destroy part of this place called Sky Island while me and all my friends were all still on it!

And he did a lot of other stuff too.
