[With his first week of school in Luceti over, Kurt has taken advantage of the day off to make something a little special. A pizza, in fact. It's for a special little friend he made, so given how ridiculous this is, he's done his best to make the pizza when Kitty wasn't at home to call him out for it. Once it's done, he'll be appearing (quite literally) at building 4, teleporting to the sixth floor to knock on the door of Maes Hughes. Hopefully your daughter warned you that she ordered a pizza for lunch.

After putting up with Brigade shenanigans and generally hanging around the plaza area, he'll even make a voice post. Crazy, innit? This is mostly in response to seeing a certain person claiming to be a demon. Something that... struck him rather odd.]

When you think of a demon, what exactly do they look like in your mind? And [a hesitant pause here] what would you do if you saw one like that?

[LATER after being bombarded with how cool demons are, Kurt says something over the journals that will elicit less freaky responses:]

School wasn't so bad here. I can't believe we actually get homework though. What happens if we fail?

That's good! Maybe you should do something to celebrate. A big dinner or a party or something.

... you met "God"? [Maybe he should just give up on this place making sense.]

Yeah, I guess so. Hearing about people's world is just strange. [... especially the ones he's beginning to suspect are as fictional as he first thought.]

Well, that depends on what you want that "whatever" to be, actually. An answer has been provided, though it's worth as a real answer is debatable.

[Oh hey, he'll just teleport in with a sudden flash of light, right on the middle of the conference table. sup.]

Just... the end of the week. You spend five days working, then you have the 'end' of the week to take off and enjoy.

Yeah. With so many things out of place here, it's hard to know who you can even trust around here.

Hm ah well it's in a wonderfully beautiful castle in Romania. [ He gives a wistful sigh before he continues. ]

But all my mythological students are given rings that cloak their actual forms, it'd be a messy business to have a dragon traipsing around the grounds you see! But interestingly enough the more my human students begin to believe in them the more apparent they become. It's a interesting phenomenon I must admit.

[He fidgets with his watch. This is all sounding way too familiar.]

Yeah, I had to kick his ass too!

You wouldn't believe the stuff he was trying to do to my friends!

Really? Wow. [She... can't quite wrap her mind around that. So she just shrugs.] If we stopped working for a day, we wouldn't have food the next. But that sounds nice. What did you do with all that free time?

... what was he doing? [He asks this with the kind of tone you might ask from the raving of a lunatic.]

[Oh there you go again, Katara, making him feel small about his own life.]

A lot of times? Homework. But just enjoying ourselves, mostly. Catching up with friends, writing to my family at home, that sort of thing.

[Leon puts down the small knife he'd been working with, perhaps a little harder than necessary, when he sees Kurt appear. Not having any sign where someone was going to appear was always kinda weird.]

It's Leon. And you're Kurt, right? What did you want me to look at?

[And it's kind of annoying too. Kurt hops off the table and then holds out his wrist, showing his watch. He takes a deep breath. This guy was an alien, so he wasn't going to be bothered by this. Just... keep it cool.]

It's this. It's a... well, it's what makes me look like this. [He turns to his side and holds up the back of his hair, showing a bare neck... with no barcode.] And why I have no mark. It's a holographic image inducer.

[And then he turns it off.]

[It's not everyone who grows up in the SOUTH POLE, man. Suck it up. She grins at him.]

That sounds like fun. There are a lot of people from worlds like that here, I think. I was talking to a girl the other day who said that she got to go to school and just be a student. I thought that was pretty amazing.

[His appearance flickers, like a TV channel being changed, and suddenly he's blue. Three fingers on his hands, pointy ears, blue fur everywhere, a pointy tail, and legs arched back like a faun's. The reason for the demon question should become fairly obvious now.]

... so people don't see me like this.

Well, I know back home some religions said demons would have horns, glowing eyes, and red skinned... among other things. I haven't seen anything like that here yet.

[He... doesn't see what's so amazing about that. At all.]

Didn't you go to school too?

What about... blue skinned with pointy tails?

Blue skinned is new, but some thought pointy tails went well with goat legs.

That's a good idea.

[Not a huge fan of parties, but a dinner thing doesn't sound too bad.]

Maybe if everything is done by this weekend like I hope, we'll do that. And have plenty of cherry pie for dessert.

[Well, goat legs are pretty close to what he has.]

Yeah, I guess they would.

[Obviously, Leon's attention is more on the device in front of him than on Kurt, but he raises a brow when Kurt shows the back of his neck-- and then the actual name of the device causes his ears to perk up.]
