Drei - [Action/Voice]

[With his first week of school in Luceti over, Kurt has taken advantage of the day off to make something a little special. A pizza, in fact. It's for a special little friend he made, so given how ridiculous this is, he's done his best to make the pizza when Kitty wasn't at home to call him out for it. Once it's done, he'll be appearing (quite literally) at building 4, teleporting to the sixth floor to knock on the door of Maes Hughes. Hopefully your daughter warned you that she ordered a pizza for lunch.

After putting up with Brigade shenanigans and generally hanging around the plaza area, he'll even make a voice post. Crazy, innit? This is mostly in response to seeing a certain person claiming to be a demon. Something that... struck him rather odd.]

When you think of a demon, what exactly do they look like in your mind? And [a hesitant pause here] what would you do if you saw one like that?

[LATER after being bombarded with how cool demons are, Kurt says something over the journals that will elicit less freaky responses:]

School wasn't so bad here. I can't believe we actually get homework though. What happens if we fail?

But she didn't listen, right? The last time I heard you guys were still going out.

No--at that point she was a normal girl. And I'm using "normal" in the loosest sense of the word.

...

Why would I take a demon demon to the prom?

H-- hah... The uniforms, right. [The boy looks slightly pained at the thought. It's getting to be the festive time of the year, too.] I can see how that would become a problem.

[He looks at the device again.] I'll have to look at how the creator inputted the different clothes settings. It'd be pretty fascinating if all of those options were added directly into the image inducer without use of a computer...

A demon? They are usually beings of darkness in my world, something of evil. Thus, it is acts and deeds that often determine a demon in my mind. In my travels, demons are never determined by their appearance, for some take guises that deceive the eyes and mind. An example, if you will: a being of evil that I have long fought against, Aku, took on the form of a beautiful woman who was in search of her father. He took advantage of my very compassion and want to help people to take away a chance for me to return to my own time. This knack for deception is one key trait I have found amongst demonkind. Is this of assistance to you?

Depends on the demon.

And--well? That depends on your definition of evil. It's all one big circle of dependence.

Perhaps deception, or perhaps like many things, there exceptions. It would not be beyond the imagination to say that there are demons with kindness in their souls just as there are men with evil in their hearts and minds. I have seen much in my journey, yet I cannot say I have seen everything. I merely speak of what I have witnessed.

Well, it depends on the demon. And it depends on your definition of evil. And it depends on whether you even bother believing in demons because a lot of people don't.

I've seen demons with horns, demons with three eyes, demons with ten eyes. Demons with extra limbs. Demons with green skin. Demons with slime and demons who look like big old nasty lizard snake things that want to bite your head off. I've met demons who gamble with kittens and others who just like to run around raising as much Hell as possible. [Pause.] But I've also seen ones look just like humans, act just like humans, feel just like humans. The difference is usually in the soul.

Demons don't have them, you see. [Oh God did Buffy just make herself out to be even more insane?]] Are those answers any better?

That feeling is understandable. One's experiences and the sights they behold in their world often forge the way they view and see things in life. However, it is key that one keeps an open-mind to possibilities rather than close oneself off. To close one's mind and heart is to become blind to the wonders around them.
