bamfing | Ein - [Action/Voice]

[Although Kurt arrived early in the day, walking around the village was not an option. So he was left with little choice but to wait around until evening, listening in on the journals for clues as to what happened to him. Clearly he wasn't the only recent arrival and he learned quite a big from his fellow New Feathers having the situation explained to them. So, in the dead of night, Kurt finally enters the village, teleporting from one room to another. His first stop is the clothing store. After finding some discreet, normal outfit (opting to come back for his X-Men uniform later), he leaves and goes to the item store to find his holo watch. If anyone happens to run into him during the dead of night, they'll find that he's keeping to the shadows and has himself covered in a robe. He'll talk if he's found, at least at first. But he's not keen to reveal himself and will teleport away immediately.

The next morning, though, Kurt will be walking around town in the appearance of a normal human kid, exploring the various parts of the towns, mostly the shops and Welcome Center. Later, he even makes a voice post, sounding just a bit timid as he does so.]

Hello everyone, my name is Kurt. I ah, arrived yesterday. I was wondering if any of my friends were already here? [Seemed reasonable to ask... so many other people arrived to people who already knew them.]

[Don watches Kurt's search get increasingly frantic. After a while, he'll approach him. If he can, he'll take his wrist to temporarily stop him from looking through the bins.]

You know - [What was Nightcrawler's real name again?] - Kurt... You really don't need it here.

[The accusation "You don't know what it's like!" really doesn't hold much water here. Regardless, he only stops for a moment.]

Maybe not. But all the same... it would be better if I had it.

[He does know how you feel. He'll let go of your arm and start digging through the next bin.]

If we can't find it... I know someone who can make you a new one.

[Katara pauses to think things through... Diana not real?]

Well, in this place we recently had something happen where... we could see things that weren't real about our own realities. Maybe the reason why you saw people who are here in your television is something like that - bits and pieces of other realities leaking into yours?

Thanks! I'm almost a teenager... it's kinda weird to think about.

[He glances up and asks with no irony in his tone at all:] You?

[But as he starts on the next bin.] Found it! Yes!

Oh man. [He scratches his head at all that.] I think I saw that in a movie once.

[...Oh no you don't-] So! Kurt, huh? Kurt... [That's definitely an interesting name. So maybe he should look into this-]

New feathers... huh. You arrived the other day, right? Huh...

[He coughs a little] Sit down.

[He blinks at that. He's not sure why he should bother staying but... he takes a seat anyway.]

Yes? What do you want?

[Well, he doesn't seem to disturbed, so Katara shrugs. She'll talk about it with Sokka later. Much later. After his head returns to his shoulders. Which could take a week.

Maybe she should see what Caesar is doing...]

Well, I guess it doesn't matter too much. Real or not in your world, we're all here now.

[This is a Sapphire leaving the item shop for the millionth time since yesterday. She walks a bit away from the entrance and plunks herself down cross-legged, making a face.]

Rraah.

[Kurt finds this a little odd as he's walking by. He ends up standing over her, looking down at the little girl with confusion. Was she growing?]

Are you okay?

Huh? Oh. No. I don't -

[He leaves that hanging. And when Kurt finds the watch, he backs away a step.]

[Kurt would have no problem believing Donatello could make it out of scrap parts. And then hit it to make it work. In any case, Kurt slaps on his watch and flips it on. Behold! Instant human!]

It still works! Yes!

Yeah, I guess so. [He delves in deeper into the grocery store, looking at the products.]

Shopping for myself. This is going to be so weird.

[He takes a drink from his iced tea, feeling a little bad he hadn't bothered to before now. And here it looked like they were already done here...]

Yes, thank you, Miss Rydia. Is it okay if I look at the map a bit more?

[He probably could, if he felt like it. But that's a road Donatello doesn't want to go down.]

[Sounding distinctly unenthusiastic:] Congratulations.

[Well, there's no need for it now and who knows what kind of charge it has? He flips it back off.]

Thanks, man! I can't believe I met a real Ninja Turtle. My friends are never going to believe this!

[Katara starts picking up toiletries for their new guest.]

You didn't have to do stuff like this at home?

Oh, well... I live at the institute with the professor and some other students.... my friends I mentioned before. We usually do everything together. Going to school together, eating, shopping, and stuff like that. [Fighting giant robots, evil mutants, saving the world. You know. Teenager stuff.]

[... This is so strange.]

So I'm on a TV show in your world? ... Is it popular?

Ah... not so much anymore. Not since the eighties. There were movies too. [He thinks for a moment.] And a live action show for awhile... it was ah, not so good. Nobody liked the girl turtle that much.

The eighties? I was barely even alive in the eighties.

[A long, stunned silence.] There is no "girl turtle".

Exactly! It was an awful show. There was even a Power Rangers crossover. [He shakes his head at that.] What a way to let a popular series die.

Oh. [A pause as she processes.] That sounds really nice.
